KOHLER RCL Line
The Kohler RCL line is designed to take residential power generation to the next level. This series includes units in the 24, 30, 38, 48, and 60kW range, liquid-cooled engines for increased run-time and durability, and EPA compliant engines. The efficiency and power of this series is unmatched, largely thanks to these units using either a 4D, FRII, or FRX alternator, and the RDC2 controller. These units can be configured for either single or three-phase output.
The RCL line includes Kohler’s all-aluminum enclosure that has provisions built-in for convenient panel removal. This feature, along with the units spacious design, make routine inspections, PMs, and service easy and straight-forward. The 24kW is powered by a 2.4 naturally aspirated (NA) four-cylinder, the 30 and 38kW RCL models are powered by our 2.4 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engines, and the 48 and 60kW are powered by a PSI 6.2-liter V8. The alternators of the RCL(X) series use PMG excitation, while the 30 and 38 RCLB use wound field-excitation alternators.
